  • Pennsylvania AG Michelle Henry announced the launch of an online portal to report data breaches ahead of the effective date of recent amendments to Pennsylvania’s Breach of Personal Information Notification Act (BPINA).
  • Beginning September 26, 2024, recent amendments to the BPINA require entities to report data breaches that impact more than 500 Pennsylvania residents, and they must also provide impacted individuals with 12 months of credit monitoring and access to a credit report if certain personal information was involved in the breach.
  • The portal also provides additional information about the BPINA.
