Update to Department of State Visa Shutdown

The U.S. Department of State (DOS) has provided an update on its ongoing technical problems with issuing visas. According to the update, the visa shutdown appears to be the result of a hardware failure. The DOS has over 100 computer experts (both public and private sector) working to identify the issues and restore functionality.
