USCIS Instructs Employers to Continue Using the Current Form I-9 After August 31, 2019

U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) has instructed employers to continue using the current version of the Form I-9 beyond the form’s August 31, 2019, expiration date. The current I-9 employment eligibility verification form has an expiry date of “08/31/2019” in the upper right-hand corner and an edition date of “07/17/17” in the lower left-hand corner. USCIS will provide details about the new version of the I-9 as soon as they become available. The new version of the form is not expected to contain any substantive changes.
