Join the ACEDS Toronto Chapter for an overview of the recent initiatives of the Ontario e-Hearings Task Force. This session will include a discussion of e-Hearings best practices, different perspectives on participating in an e-Hearing and a discussion of e-Hearing software and hardware considerations (along with general tips and tricks). *This webinar will be presented via Zoom - details will be sent via email once registration has been completed.

Carolyn Anger, Founder and Director of Anger & Associates
Carolyn E Anger is the Founder and Director of Anger & Associates, based in Toronto, Canada. As a Legal Technologist & eDiscovery Strategist she began her career as a Systems Integrator before specializing in discovery management, court modernization, and litigation technology. She is based in Toronto but has worked across Canada and the United States.

Brent J. Arnold, Partner, Gowling WLG
Brent J. Arnold is a partner practising in Gowling WLG's advocacy department, specializing in cybersecurity and commercial litigation. Brent heads the firm's Commercial Litigation Technology sub-group. He also leads cybersecurity initiatives for the firm's Financial Services Regulatory Group, and is a member of its InsurTech and Tech T.O. groups. In 2019, he co-authored the Canada chapter of Chambers Global Practice Guide: Data Protection & Cybersecurity, 2nd ed.

Kim Neeson, Vice-President, Canada Operations for Veritext Canada, and Principal/Founder of Neesons, a Veritext Company
Kim Neeson is one of the nation’s foremost experts in advanced-technology reporting and captioning. As Vice-President, Canada Operations for Veritext Canada, and Principal/Founder of Neesons, a Veritext Company, she leverages over three decades of court reporting experience, technological insights, and dedication to her clients. Kim has repeatedly been named as one of Canada’s top 100 female entrepreneurs by PROFIT/Chatelaine W100. Kim continues to give back to the legal and court reporting community through her continuing services on related boards and committees (NCRA, STAR, Lawyers Feed the Hungry), as well as writing and speaking publicly.

Justice Colin Campbell
Colin Campbell established his mediation and arbitration practice in the fall of 2013 at Amicus Chambers following at 15-year career as a Justice of the Superior Court of Justice of Ontario. During his judicial career, much of which was spent dealing with civil litigation, Colin managed and presided over a number of complex insolvency and restructuring cases as well as numerous complicated public and private shareholder disputes. During this time, he actively managed many civil cases and presided over hundreds of pre-trails, settlement conferences and judicial mediations. Since 2013 Colin has conducted over 600 mediations, mainly investor, corporate/commercial shareholder and estate disputes but also including insurance and construction matters. In addition, Colin has presided over more than 100 arbitration disputes, principally as a sole arbitrator in domestic issues but as well, several international disputes as a tribunal member under the auspices of the Permanent Court of Arbitration, the International Centre for Dispute Resolution of mediation and arbitration and other arbitral regimes.
