Yeah but no but – Government response to sexual harassment report

The government's response to the Women and Equalities Select Committee report on sexual harassment in the workplace was published just before Christmas. Although the government will introduce a statutory code of practice on sexual harassment, many of the report's other recommendations will be subject to further consultation before the government decides how to proceed.

Hi ho, Hi ho – "gig economy" proposals unveiled

Following the Taylor Review into modern working practices, and subsequent consultation exercises, the government has now published its "Good Work Plan", outlining its proposals for strengthening worker rights while preserving the flexibility of the labour market.
 
 
In the eye of the beholder – Ill health pension not unfavourable treatment
 
In Williams v The Trustees of Swansea University Pension & Assurance Scheme the Supreme Court confirmed that awarding an ill-health retirement pension on the basis of an employee's part-time final salary was not unfavourable treatment for a disability discrimination claim.
