Workplace investigations should only be conducted by company's appropriately trained HR staff, attorneys or licensed private investigators. Whether it is an in-house HR Department employee or an outside investigator, a qualified, trained investigator is required. Opportunities for training are limited, which is why we are offering this program.
This two day training is designed for people who have some experience with workplace investigations or have completed some prior training. Even those with limited experience should benefit.
We are fortunate to have Michael Robbins and Catherine Balin of EXTTI Incorporated leading this training session. This fast-paced, interactive program is designed to take participants to the next level in the practical skills necessary to investigate allegations of harassment and other employee misconduct. Among other things, you will learn how to: manage the investigation process and communicate with the involved parties, ask effective questions, interview reluctant witnesses, obtain relevant evidence, assess credibility, arrive at a legally defensible decision, write an investigation report and testify about your own investigations. You will also learn how to prepare and utilize all of the necessary documentation during the investigative process.
Each attendee will receive program materials containing valuable checklists, forms, and templates that will assist them in carrying out investigations. The seminar runs from 9 am to 4 pm each day and includes continental breakfast and lunch.
